Lučine is a village in the hills to the south of Gorenja vas in the Gorenja vas - Poljane Municipality in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia[2].
The local church is dedicated to Saint Vitus (Slovene: Sveti Vid). The original Late Gothic church was extended and a belfry was added in 1669. In 1898 the church, apart from the belfry, was demolished to give way to an entirely new building[3].
Lucine is also an Armenian name (feminine) that means moonlight.
