Luodong (Chinese: 羅東; pinyin: Luódōng; Wade–Giles: Lo-tung; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lô-tong) is an urban township in the central part of Yilan County, Taiwan (Lan Yang Plain). Its name derives from the Kavalan word rutung, meaning "monkey", referring to a large population of monkeys there half century ago. Luodong is famed for its large, beautifully landscaped sports park.
Luodong is served by the Yilan Line of Taiwan Railway Administration.
Two interchange in Luodong township along to National Highway No.5 (Taiwan) called Chiang Wei-shui or Beiyi.
Luodong has a large night market containing all the local food. It has a large community which organises dance clubs and recitals for the elderly of Luodong.
There is a second park in Luodong which is more family oriented than the sports park.
