"Love Is Like a Butterfly" is the title track from Dolly Parton's 1974 album. "Love Is Like a Butterfly" was written by Dolly Parton and would be her fourth number one on the country chart as a solo artist. The single stayed at number one for one week and spent a total of twelve weeks on the country chart.[1] Parton used the song as the opening theme for her 1976-77 TV variety show Dolly!. A version of this song, sung by Clare Torry, was also used as the theme to BBC TV comedy series Butterflies.[2]
