Loot Drop, Inc. is a social game company headquartered in San Mateo, California. The company was co-founded by John Romero, Brenda Brathwaite, and Robert Sirotek in November 2010.[1] On January 20, 2011, it was announced that their first game development deal was signed with RockYou.[2] Tom Hall joined Loot Drop on January 1, 2011 to head up the Loot Drop Austin office.[3]
On March 3, 2011, Eurogamer ran a story that claimed John Romero was "done with hardcore games" due to his new interest in Facebook games. Romero refuted that statement on his Twitter feed[4] and Eurogamer changed their headline, but the URL still has the original headline in it.[5]
