Sapindus oahuensis, commonly known as Āulu or Lonomea, is a species of soapberry that is endemic to Hawaii. It can be found in dry, coastal mesic, and mixed mesic forests[4] at elevations of 61–610 m (200–2,000 ft)[5] on the islands of Kauaʻi (Waimea Canyon) and Oʻahu (Waiʻanae and Koʻolau Ranges).[4] Āulu reaches a height of 18 m (59 ft) and a trunk diameter of 0.5 m (1.6 ft).[5] It is threatened by habitat loss.
