Lolita Lempicka is the pseudonym of Josiane Maryse Pividal (born Bordeaux, 1954), a French fashion designer. The pseudonym is meant to be an homage to the novelist Vladimir Nabokov and the Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka, combining the nickname of the title character of the former's Lolita with the surname of the latter.
One of the brand names under which she markets her designs is Lolita Bis. In 1985 she opened an atelier in the Le Marais section of Paris, France. She is noted for her suit designs.
In 1990 she received applause for a collection shown in a courtyard in the Louvre.[1]
In 2002, Pividal became a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.[2]
