Lohagara Upazila, Narail

Lohagara (Bengali: লোহাগড়া) is an Upazila of Narail District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.

Lohagara is located at . It has 36853 units of house hold and total area 290.83 km².

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Lohagara has a population of 208248. Males constitute are 50.18% of the population, and females 49.82%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 102841. Lohagara has an average literacy rate of 38.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[1]

Lohagara has 12 Unions/Wards, 149 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 224 villages.
