Logona Esau is a Tuvaluan weightlifter.
He was the first athlete from Tuvalu to win a medal at an international competition, when he took bronze at the Pacific Mini Games in Koror in 2005.[1] In 2007, he won silver in the men's 69 kg at the Pacific Games in Apia, lifting 141 kg.[2] In August 2008, he will take part in the World Weightlifting Championships.[3]
Esau represented Tuvalu at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, for his country's first ever participation in the Olympic Games, where he finished 23rd.[4] Esau was Tuvalu's flagbearer during the Games' opening ceremony.[5]
As of 2006, he was ranked 132nd in the world by the International Weightlifting Federation.[6]
