The 53rd Annual TV WEEK Logie Awards was held on Sunday 1 May 2011 at the Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne, and was televised on the Nine Network.[1] The awards ceremony was hosted by Shane Bourne, marking the first time he has hosted the event.[1]

American singer-songwriter Katy Perry opened the Logie Awards performing her hit single "Firework".[2] Maroon 5 and Jessie J also performed. Andre Rieu did not perform but presented an award.[3]

Nominations

The logie nominations were made 3 April 2011 at the The Green Room at Quay, Overseas Passenger Terminal, The Rocks, Sydney during an afternoon lunch; breaking away from the traditional breakfast. Also in breaking tradition, it will be the first time the announcement is made the day before the nominations edition of the magazine (TV Week) go out on sale.
