Ljusdal is a locality and the seat of Ljusdal Municipality, Gävleborg County, Sweden with 6,100 inhabitants in 2005.[1]

Ljusdal is located beside the river Ljusnan which goes from Bruksvallarna to Ljusne. Ljusdal is famous for have been hosting the annual Bandy World Cup in the sport of bandy from 1974 to 2008. Eventually Ljusdal will once again be hosting the cup from 2011 and onwards when they have their new indoor arena.
