Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House is the fourth album by Canadian folk trio The Wailin' Jennys.
The album was recorded before their 2008 career break. The concert was held in the Mauch Chunk Opera House[1], Pennsylvania near the village Jim Thorpe, converted from the original (1881) Mauch Chunk concert hall. The original hall was the second storey to a first floor farmer's market giving the perfect background to the strains of "Arlington" and the lyric of "Deeper Well"(see track listing below). As suggested in the title, it is a live album, and it includes brief spoken introductions to a few of the songs. It has been very highly acclaimed in many reviews, with The Wailin' Jennys frequently performing music from it and their other albums on Prairie Home Companion and other such stations, and also on their tours.
