The Little Ferry Public Schools are a community public school district that serves kindergarten through eighth-grade students from Little Ferry in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States.
As of the 2007-08 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 958 students and 64.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.0.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]
Since Little Ferry does not have its own high school, for grades 9-12, public school students attend Ridgefield Park High School, in Ridgefield Park only a couple of minutes away, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Ridgefield Park Public Schools that has been in place since 1953.[4]
