List of number-one singles of 2010 (Australia)
The highest-selling singles in Australia are ranked in the Australian Recording Industry Association singles chart, also known as the ARIA Charts, published by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). The data are compiled from a sample that includes music stores, music departments at electronics and department stores and Internet sales; in other words, both digital as well as CD sales.[1] ARIA also issues a weekly albums chart and an end-of-year albums and singles chart, among other charts. There was a total of 17 number-one singles in 2010.
In 2010, nine acts gained their first Australia number-one single either as a lead or featured act: Owl City, Iyaz, Jason Derülo, Train, Kevin Rudolf, will.i.am, Taio Cruz, Bruno Mars and Eve.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
Rihanna earned three number-one singles during the year — two as a solo artist and one as featured guest on Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie", which made her the only artist to achieve the most number-ones of the year. She was also the only artist with the most weeks at number one. In 2010, Usher, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars each scored their second number-one singles in Australia.[11][12][9]
Usher's "OMG" and Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" were the longest-running number-one singles of the year, with each single scoring six consecutive weeks at the top.[13][14] Guy Sebastian's "Who's That Girl" was the last to reach number-one in 2010, becoming his fifth number-one single.[15] He became the first Australian male artist to achieve five number-one singles in Australian music history, and is equal third overall with Olivia Newton-John for all Australian acts.
