Using dolls identical to him, Ban tricks Akabane into thinking he used the Evil Eye and escape to the auction. Using the Evil Eye with bodyguards from the auction, Ban, Ginji, Shido and Emishi retrieve the Venus' arms and the replica made of Aphrodite, but Ginji accidentally drops them to the bottom of the sea while escaping. Still considering that with arms lost, the Venus will keep its beauty, Clayman gives the GetBackers half of the pay, and the three go to meet Hela. They reveal that Kaito became addicted to Aphrodite to the point of ending in a catatonic state, but used his last forces to make a painting of Hela in Shinjuku. After Hela reunites with, Ban uses the Evil Eye to make Mengyan expose his drugs and make the police arrest him. Ginji is visited by Yukihiko who still wishes to be his friends, but tells him that he will kill Ban for the death of his sister. The GetBackers keep obtaining jobs to earn money, and being hired by parents to rescue three children involved with a supposed cursed card game named Divine Design. They run into Kazuki, Himiko and Hevn who have been hired for a similar job and join forces as they keep learning more about the cards' possible curse. |

Ginji meets his opponent, Quinglong, who is revealed to be the brother of a girl who died while protecting Ginji in the Fortress and caused his transformation in Lightning Lord. Meanwhile, Himiko is tricked by the third guardian to believe he is the deceased Yamato, living in Lucifer's territory, in order to ambush her. Himiko is saved by the real Yamato, who defeats the guardian before fading away. As he faces Quinglong who made a deal with Lucifer to revive his sister if he defeated Ginji, Ginji becomes the Lightning Lord, taking energy from the Fortress. However, both withdraw from the fight as Ginji tells Quinglong that is not her sister's wish to sacrifice himself. As Ginji returns tp Ban and Himiko, Juubei defeats the last guardian, allowing them to continue their territory. Ginji is faced by Toshiki and Kazuki, the latter possessed by Lucifer's minion, Orpheus. With Ginji unwilling to fight Kazuki, Juubei replaces him and manages to stop Orpheus' possession.
