The Archdeacon of St Albans is an ecclesiastical post in the Church of England Diocese of St Albans in the Province of Canterbury. The current incumbent is the Venerable Jonathan Smith, who became Archdeacon of St Albans in July 2008.[1]

Historically the archdeaconry was in the diocese of London, and was transferred to the diocese of Rochester in 1845, and at that point its boundaries were made to coincide with those of Hertfordshire. That change was followed by the transfer to the current diocese in 1878.[2]
