Lissington is a village and civil parish about 4 miles (6.4 km) south of the town of Market Rasen, and about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of the town of Wragby, Lincolnshire, England.

Lissington was mentioned in Domesday Book of 1086, when it was called Lessintone, with 28 households, 80 acres of meadow, 80 of woodland.[1]

The church is dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and is a Grade II listed building built from ironstone and greenstone, dating from 1796 with a restoration in 1895, and further additions in 1925.[2]

Lissington CE School was built in 1854 as a National school and closed 21st December 1950.[3]
