Lifesong is the second full-length album by CCM band Casting Crowns, and was released on August 30, 2005.[3] The album won the 2005 Grammy Award for the Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.[4] It has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. The sixth track, "Set Me Free," was covered by hard rock band Place Vendome on their 2009 album Streets of Fire. As of late 2009 the album has sold over 1.2 million copies.[5]

Awards

In 2006, the album won a Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year at the 37th GMA Dove Awards. The title song was also nominated for Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.[6]
