Liefmans Oudenaarde is a Belgian brewery which produces oud bruin, lambic, and other Belgian beers. It was founded in 1679. The company went bankrupt, and in June 2008 Liefmans was acquired by Duvel Moortgat Brewery. With that acquisition, Duvel gained the rights to Liefmans' wheat beer, Dentergems Wit, and to a Belgian ale, Lucifer; both these beers were subsequently taken over by Het Anker Brewery.[1][2]
