Tagong, also known as Lhagang is a small town in Kangding County, Sichuan, China and the location of one of the most important monasteries of the area, Tagong Si or Pel Lhagong in Tibetan. It is located in the historical region of Kham. It has been established with reference to a nearby sacred mountain, Mt. Yala (also Zhara Lhaste, 5820 m).
