Lexington Center
The Lexington Center is located on a 11-acre (45,000 m2) site in Lexington, Kentucky.[1] It features a convention center, a shopping mall, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, and Rupp Arena. It opened in 1976[2]
Components
- Rupp Arena, a 23,500 seat arena, the world's largest when it was constructed.
- The 1,000-seat Lexington Opera House, located at the corner of Broadway and Short Streets.
- A 95,000 square feet (8,800 m2) three-level upscale shopping mall.
- A 350-room Hyatt Regency Hotel.
- A 70,000 square feet (6,500 m2) convention center.
