Lesquerella is a genus of flowering plants in the family Brassicaceae.[1] Some are referred to by the common name Bladderpod and bladderpod oil is extracted from the seeds of Lesquerella fendleri and certain other species in the genus.[1][2]

The genus is named in honor of Leo Lesquereux, 1805-1889, Swiss and American Botanist.[3]

Recent work has suggested that Lesquerella is indistinct from the genus Physaria and it would be proper to unite both genera under Physaria.[4]
