Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management is a private university located in Spain, in the province of Andalusia. Since 1995, Les Roches Marbella offers hotel and tourism management programs taught entirely in English.[1] Les Roches Marbella has approximately 403 students from 50 different countries every semester, with an additional 213 students on internship around the world at any time.[2]
Les Roches Marbella offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of hospitality management with transfer opportunities to other Les Roches campuses in Switzerland, China, Australia and the United States.[3]

Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management was founded in 1995 with the purpose of educating and training students for the Hospitality Industry meeting three main criteria: a recognized and reputed Swiss Hotel Management School, an international accredited institution, and a curriculum taught in English.
In 2002, Les Roches Marbella became part of Laureate International Universities a division of Laureate Education, Inc which has a presence in some 20 countries[5] and serves more than 500,000 students worldwide.
Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management has two main program divisions; the undergraduate program in hospitality management, and the postgraduate programs. The undergraduate options include the Les Roches Hotel Management Diploma or/and the Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. These undergraduate courses cover the hotel, restaurant, and service industry operations and administration skill sets. Undergraduate students complete three internships in international hospitality organizations for a total of 18 months of work experience over three years.[6]
The Bachelor of Business Administration in hospitality program follows the same structure as the Les Roches Hotel management Diploma, but with an additional two semesters. On graduation, students receive a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality.
The Postgraduate division offers two programs for students from diverse backgrounds. The Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management provides an overview of hotel operations, administration and general business courses.[7] The Post Graduate Diploma in Golf Management is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in the golf industry.[8]
Les Roches Marbella is located in a residential area in the heart of Marbella’s Golden Mile, between Marbella city center and Puerto Banús. Marbella has a mild microclimate and an average year round temperature of 19°C (66.2 Fahrenheit).[9] All Les Roches Marbella students receive memberships to the Manolo Santana "Raquets Club"[10] where they can enjoy both tennis and paddle tennis, a gymnasium, aerobic classes, sauna and outdoor swimming pool.
Les Roches Marbella has been carefully designed and equipped to provide students with state-of-the-art teaching facilities while maintaining the physical realities of the hotel industry.[11]

Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management was the first school in Spain in 2004[12] to receive institutional accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in the United States which is one of the six regional accreditation associations for quality assurance recognized by the US Department of Education. Les Roches Marbella is accredited at the CTCI level. In addition, “Hôtellerie Suisse”, the Swiss Hotel Association, is affiliated with Les Roches Marbella for the educational design and recognition of the Hotel Management Diploma program.[13]
Internships are part of all Les Roches Marbella International School of Hotel Management programs and play an important role in all undergraduate and postgraduate level studies. This valuable experience enables students to face real work situations that are encountered in today’s fast evolving environment. Internships also increase students’ employability as they enter their professional life with an education coupled with extensive professional work experience.[14]
Les Roches Marbella’s career development department helps students obtain their first professional experience. Each semester, many international hotel chains and independent companies visit Les Roches Marbella to present their companies and then interview students.[15]
