Leptochloa is a genus of grasses in the Poaceae family. Members of the genus are commonly known as sprangletops.[1] The generic name is derived from the Greek words ληπτος (leptos), meaning "thin," and χλοα (chloa), meaning "grass," referring to the inflorescences.[2]
