Leitrim Station is an OC Transpo transit station in the suburban community of Leitrim in Ottawa, Ontario. It is located on Gilligan Road, which is just west of Albion Road and south off Leitrim Road, near the former Ottawa Central Railway Line.
Leitrim was officially designated a Rapid Transit Station in the 2009 system map (despite not opening until 2010) and will be part of a future rapid transit corridor connecting the current end of the southeast transitway (at South Keys Station) to Riverside South. The corridor was originally to be used for the original LRT plan that was cancelled in 2006.
Stage one of Leitrim Park and Ride will have room for 1268 vehicles, which will be built in phases of 200-250 vehicles. Stage 2 of Leitrim Park and Ride will have space for an additional 2300 spaces for vehicles and will be served by light rail[2].
When Leitrim Station opens, it will be served by Rapid Transit Route 99, which currently takes about 10 minutes to reach Greenboro station from Leitrim/Albion, about 15 minutes to reach Riverview Station, about 28 minutes to reach Hurdman, and about 38 minutes to reach Lebreton Station.
