Plot

The film starts with the Thunder Driller (from the Power Miners theme) digging up some dirt. In it is a mini-figure called Clutch Powers (Ryan McPartlin) and he jumps off looking for a power crystal. He sees a variety of them but finally sees a large one. He grabs it and suddenly the Queen Rock Monster wakes up and chases Clutch to his Underground Headquarters. Clutch gets the power crystal by shooting himself over the Queen and ends up stuck in a cave. The crystal opens up to reveal itself as a Rock Monster Baby and Clutch returns him to the Queen. She gives Clutch a real power crystal and he heads home.

Clutch returns to Lego City (his home) and meets up with his boss Kjeld Playwell (Paul Michael Glaser) who assigns him some new teammates: Brick Masterson (Roger Rose) weapons specialist and demolition expert , Peg Mooring (Yvonne Strahovski) a biologist, and Bernie von Beam (Jeff Bennett) a famous engineer. They have to find out what happened at the Space Police prison planet when chaos occurs. They meet up with Artie Fol (Jeff Bennett) who is a Clutch Powers fan. He lets them go on his ship that will transport them to the prison planet so they leave in the afternoon. Peg meets up with Clutch and finds out that he had a dark past with his lost father. Brick interrupts to tell them that they have arrived at the planet. They get into their astronaut suits and they enter the prison building.

They see that the Watch Commander is stuck in a cell but they are attacked by 3 evil villains. They escape and Clutch and his friends let the Watch Commander out of the cell. He tells them that he saw them after their ship. They build a new ship outside and they ride all the way to a medieval planet named Ashlar. Brick is in control of the ship but accidentally knocks down Lego-Henge (a spoof off of StoneHenge). They get off and they end up in a Medieval camp with extra parts. Clutch leaves to get to the prince of the world so he can defeat the evil Mallock the Malign. Meanwhile in the evil wizards castle, Mallocks henchskeleton Skelly and Bones are forced to go after Clutch so they can find the prince so the prince would give the golden sword to Mallock. Back in the jungle Clutch ends up in a bridge but a troll named Hogar refuses to let him across until Clutch solves 3 riddles. Clutch gets them all right and Skelly and Bones catch up with him. Hogar eats Clutch and runs away to a secret doorway that is painted like a ending forest.

Hogar throws Clutch out of his stomach on the other side and shows him the way to the kingdom of Prince Varen. Clutch finds out the truth about the King's sword. The King died so he gave his son Varen the golden sword that would bring balance to the kingdom. Hogar also tells Clutch that he was the only troll that was on the kingdom's team. Back at the Medieval camp Bernie develops a crush on Peg and is in charge of constructing a chariot. Peg leaves to look for a relaxing land but befriends a dragon. Back in the kingdom Clutch finds Prince Varen and he helps him wield a sword but he fails and gets angry at Clutch. Clutch protests that he was trying to help him defeat the Wizards team but Varen rejects him. Clutch goes back to the camp and sees that a dwarf will help them so they set out to stop Mallock.

Then Prince Varen and his knights and Hogar find out that Clutch was telling the truth and they become friends again. Varen and Clutch stow away in the back of Mallock's castle by making Peg a fake Varen. Clutch and Varen meet up with Mallock but Mallock traps them in a bone cage outside a lava river and the skeleton army defeat the knights without Varen. They retreat and Brick accidentally moves the chariot to crash into a dump. Back in the castle, Mallock makes a screen in front of the kingdom to show them that Clutch and Varen will die shortly. Hogar sees this and brings the golden sword to Mallock so he can free them. But when he arrives at Mallock's castle and gives Mallock the case there is nothing in it. Mallock traps Hogar in lightning and throws him to another land far far away. Varen and Clutch make a message to Peg and the team so they can rely on thereselves. Bernie gets fueled up by hope and they rebuild the chariot. They reunite with the knights and they attack the skeleton army. Back in the castle Clutch and Prince Varen cut down the cage and they land on a roof and they get to the gates. They fight Mallock inside but Varen says that its his fight so Clutch cannot get killed.

Varen uses the golden sword and Mallock fights with him. Varen and Mallock use the power crushing but Varen's sword has more power and charges toward Mallock. Outside Brick uses a jetpack and lands in the eye of the castle and fights with Bones and Skelly but Bernie helps him by throwing a disc at the skeletons and they get killed. Back inside the castle Varen defeats Mallock and traps him with a chain and peace returns everywhere. Clutch, Peg, Brick, Bernie, Prince Varen, Dwarf, Hogar and the rest of the knights return home with the skeletons dead. Prince Varen is held king of the Castle Kingdom and when Clutch packs up to leave Ashlar King Varen thanks him for being loyal and for being part of the team. They return to Lego City and they bring Mallock in a cage so he can go to the prison planet. Kjeld tells them that there are still two villains left so they need to find the next villain. They head out into a new adventure.
