The Legion of Veterans (Spanish: Legión de Ex-Combatientes, LEC) was a Bolivian powerful political organization between 1936 and 1939.[1]
The Legion of Veterans was established by Colonel Germán Busch Becerra on 13 September, 1935, after the Chaco War. [2]
Legion of Veterans was associated with the revolutionary governments of Colonels José David Toro Ruilova and Germán Busch Becerra (1936 – 1939) and acted as the principal source of organized political support for the military regime. For the 1938 congressional elections, the Legion of Veterans was the component of the pro-military United Socialist Front. [3]
The Legion of Veterans did not long survive the suicide of Colonel Germán Busch.
