Leessang (Hangul: 리쌍; stylized as LeeSsang) is a South Korean Hip-hop duo, composed of Kang Hee-gun ("Gary") and Gil Seong-joon ("Gil"). Formed in 2002, Leessang is known for its collaborations with Drunken Tiger, Yoon Mi Rae, Big Mama King, Hwayobi, and many others. Leessang is composed of one vocalist and one rapper.[1][2] The duo has released seven albums to date: two self-titled records in 2002 and 2003, Library of Soul in 2005, Black Sun in 2007, Baek-a Jeolhyeon (백아절현) in 2009, Hexagonal in late 2009, and Asura Balbalta in 2011.[3][4][5]

Career

Present: Asura Balbalta

They returned after a two-year hiatus with the album Asura Balbalta. It was extremely successful, with 13 of the album's tracks charting in the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.[6][7] Two songs from the album, "Turn Off the TV" and "Reminiscence", made it to the top 3 of the Melon Chart for September.[8][9][10]
