Lee Stephen Rayfield[3] (born 30 September 1955) is the current Bishop of Swindon.[4] He was educated at the University of Southampton.[5] After a period as a Lecturer in Immunology at the University of London and of study at Ridley Hall, Cambridge he was ordained a priest in 1994.[6] His career began with a curacy at Woodford after which he was Priest in Charge of St Peter, Furze Platt and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Area Dean of Maidenhead. A keen amateur runner and cyclist[7] Bishop Lee is married to Liz, with three children: Matt, Simon & Louise.
