The Lebanese Film Festival in Sydney was started by the Lebanese Film Festival Association, who identified a need to provide a uniquely Lebanese cultural celebration in Sydney, home to a large proportion of Lebanese-Australians (approximately 200,000). The Inaugural Lebanese Film Festival will take place in August/September 2012.[1]
The Lebanese Film Festival will take place in Sydney, focused primarily in Bankstown (Western Sydney), with some events also to take place in Sydney city.
The Lebanese Film Festival in Sydney was supported by Bankstown City Council in October 2011, with a $10,000 grant for bringing a premier cultural event to the area.
