Braude was born and grew up in Maroubra, Sydney and is of Jewish heritage. He attended the Emanuel School for the entirety of his schooling and in 2006 he was elected as the school captain. Whilst at Emanuel, Braude played futsal for the school. Playing this more concentrated variation of football he was able fine tune his skills.[1]
Braude played junior football for Maccabi Junior Soccer Club, in the Eastern Suburbs. Following this he played representative football for the Sydney University Soccer Football Club, and then was picked up by the Sutherland Sharks to play in the New South Wales Premier League, the top flight of football in New South Wales.
During his stint with the Sharks, Braude was offered a lucrative contract with the Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv, but declined, to focus on his Higher School Certificate. After graduation he trained at the AIS in Canberra on a football scholarship from 2007-2008. After impressing scouts from the Central Coast Mariners Braude was signed to the Mariners youth squad to take part in the inaugural A-League National Youth League. Braude's debut season with the Mariners started slowly, but he played regularly and continued to improve.[2][3]
In 2009 Braude trialed at English League One club Oldham Athletic, and was offered a contract, but his ineligibility for a United Kingdom work visa prevented the move. After spending some time coaching at Hakoah Football Club in Sydney, Braude moved to the United States. He signed to play with MPS Portland Phoenix in the USL Premier Development League, and made his debut for the team on 7 May 2011, in a game against the New Hampshire Phantoms.[4]
Braude played for the Young Socceroos in January 2007 against South Korea at the Youth Olympics in Sydney. He started the game and was substituted in the 62nd minute.[5]
