Lapinjärvi (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈlapinˌjærʋi]; Swedish: Lappträsk) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 2,873 (31 January 2011)[2] and covers an area of 339.34 square kilometres (131.02 sq mi) of which 9.44 km2 (3.64 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 8.71 inhabitants per square kilometre (22.6 /sq mi).

The municipality is bilingual, with majority being Finnish and minority Swedish speakers.
