The Lapithass Mountains (Greek: Λαπίθα(ς)) is a mountain located in western Ilia in the western Peloponnese in Greece. The mountains are named after the mythical people, the Lapiths. It is 15 to 20 km long and 10 km wide and covers and area of 100 to 150 km². Much of the mountain are forested with pines, cypresses and cedars, grasslands are founded in smaller parts. Much of the forests have nearly became deforested by the fires of late August 2007 and reduced to difficult and unreachable parts. The terrible inferno also devastated nearby villages and completely ruined those inside.
Grasslands are in the lower elevations and forests in the higher elevations.
Three streams flows to the northeast and some to the remainder, the Anydronas is to the south. The GR-76 (Megalopoli - Andritsaina - Krestena) (unofficially) is to the north and the GR-9/E55 (Patras - Pyrgos - Kalamata) lies to the west with a road linking with Neochori Kaiafas to the southwest. The edge of the mountain is passed by the road connecting Zacharo and the GR-76 at Platania. Smerna, Vrina and Xirochori are village that are inside the mountain range.
