During the 80-, 90-, and 2000's four of the regiments was closed down. The last one have been reorganized several times and are today called the 1st Marine Regiment (Amf 1) located in Berga.

Today the Coastal Rangers have replaced their old L-50 boats with Fast Attack Craft 90H.[2]
