Lagadapati Rajagopal (Telugu: లగడపాటి రాజగొపాల్ ;Born 16 February 1964) is an Indian industrialist, entrepreneur and Politician, who is currently serving as the 15th Loksabha Member for Vijayawada constituency in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He is a politician belonging to the Indira Congress party. He is the son-in-law of ex-MP P. Upendra. He completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from V.R.Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada which happens to be the first private engineering in Andhra Pradesh. He was in the news recently for his fast-unto-death for Samaikhyandhra.[1] He spearheaded the Samaikhya Andhra movement.[2]

He is also the founder-chairman of the Rs. 12,000 crore Lanco Infratech group of companies,[3] which has been growing rapidly in the construction and infrastructure segment. The company is currently under investigation for irregularities related to re-negotiating insurance contracts.[4]
