Lacordaire Academy is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school for women established by the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell, New Jersey. The school has an enrollment of 95 students in grades 9 through 12. The school is located in the Upper Montclair section of Montclair, New Jersey.

Lacordaire Academy is accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The school is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools[2] and is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark.

The school was founded in 1920, and named for Pere Henri Lacordaire, a Dominican priest who lived in post-revolution Paris.

Lacordaire Academy Lower - Middle Division

The Lacordaire Academy Lower - Middle Division is a private coeducational Roman Catholic day school which serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. As of the 2007-08 school year, the lower - middle division had an enrollment of 130 students (in kindergarten through eighth grade, plus an additional nine students in Pre-K) and 13.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.6.[3]
