La Grange Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2000 census, the village, which is a suburb of Chicago, population was 13,295.

La Grange Park is located at (41.829831, -87.869233)[1].
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 13,295 people, 5,432 households, and 3,516 families residing in the village. The population density was 8,925 people per square mile. There were 5,560 housing units at an average density of 2,467.3 per square mile (954.1/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 93.2% White, 3.1% African American, 0.1% Native American, 1.6% Asian, 0% Pacific Islander, .9% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.6% of the population.
The top five ancestries reported in La Grange Park as of the 2000 census were Irish (22.6%), German (22.0%), Polish (16.1%), Italian (11.7%) and Czech (10.0%).[3]
There were 5,432 households out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.7% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 31.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the village the population was spread out with 23.7% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 27.2% from 25 to 44, 22.0% from 45 to 64, and 21.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 84.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 78.8 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $58,918, and the median income for a family was $76,441. Males had a median income of $55,023 versus $34,774 for females. The per capita income for the village was $30,247. About 1.2% of families and 2.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 1.7% of those under age 18 and 5.2% of those age 65 or over.
La Grange Park is in Illinois' 3rd congressional district.

La Grange Park is served by two elementary, and two high school districts.
Some elementary and middle school students attend Brookfield-La Grange Park School District 95 which has two schools. Brook Park Elementary School serves students K-5, and is located in LaGrange Park, and S.E. Gross Middle School serves students 6-8, and is located at in Brookfield. Also serving the Village is La Grange Elementary School District 102 which is composed of 4 elementary schools which are: Forest Road Elementary in La Grange Park, Ogden Avenue Elementary, and Cositt Elementary both located in La Grange, and Congress Park Elementary in Brookfield, all serve grades K-6. Middle school students then move to La Grange Park Junior High in La Grange for grades 7-8. Barnsdale School is a full day kindergarten campus for children in District 102.
High school students from District 95 move onto Riverside Brookfield High School District 208 located at 160 Ridgewood Rd in Riverside. Students from District 102 go onto Lyons Township High School District 204.
Nazareth Academy founded in 1900 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, is a Catholic college preparatory high school located at 1209 W. Ogden Ave in La Grange Park, in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago.
John Williams (born John Fillipitch), October 19, 1959 is a radio talk show host at WGN (AM) in Chicago, Illinois. He has held several timeslots on WGN, including the 1–4 p.m. John Williams Experience until December 2008, Spike O'Dell's old 5–9 a.m. slot from December 2008 to June 2009, and the 9 a.m.–noon slot since June 2009.

Allan B. Calhamer, who invented Diplomacy, a strategic board game invented in the 1950s that has been played ever since, progressing from board game, to postal mail, to today's e-mail and internet-based play. Calhamer grew up in La Grange Park, and lives there today.
