Kvithammer or Kvithammar is a village in the Skatval area of the municipality of Stjørdal in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the western part of the municipality, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of the municipal center of Stjørdalshalsen. The 0.17-square-kilometre (42-acre) village has a population (2009) of 234. The population density of the village is 1,376 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,560 /sq mi).[1]
Kvithammar is mainly known for the Bioforsk Grassland and Landscape Division which is an agricultural research station in the area.[3] It is located on the Skatval peninsula, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the Forbordsfjellet mountain.
