Kurumkan (Russian: Курумкан) is a small town, the administrative center of Kurumkansky District in Russia.
The name Kurumkan came from Evenk language which means a stone river. It is located on the north and the distance between Kurumkan and Ulan-Ude is 413 km. The population in 2008 was 6278.[1] There is a bus that runs twice a day between Ulan-Ude and Kurumkan. Kurumkan has a small hotel that calls Tuyaa. The hotel has 18 suits where 8 suits have 2 beds, 6 suits have 1 bed and 4 suits have 4 beds. Three branches of Russian banks are available in Kurumkan that are Rosbank, Sberbank and Rosselhozbank. All branches have currency exchange services and ATM 24 hours.
