Kremenica is a settlement immediately to the southeast of Ig in central Slovenia. The entire Ig municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola. It is included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on a small hill in the settlement, is dedicated to Saint Ulrich (Slovene: Sveti Urh) and belongs to the Ig parish. It was built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier church.[3]
