The Fußball-Kreisliga (English: Football District League) is a low tier in German football, set at the seventh level and blwo. Kreisligas exist in all regions of Germany in varying numbers and form.[1][2][3]

The Kreisligen usually rank right below the Verbandsliga, Landesliga, Bezirksliga, Bezirksklasse, Landesklasse or Kreisoberliga, depending on region. There can be mutliple levels of Kreisligas, distingushied by the prefix 1s, 2nd and 3rd or the post fix A, B or C. Any teams finding themselves at the bottom of the Kreisligs would find themselves in one of the local Kreisklasse. The system however varies from region to region and sport to sport, such that it is not uniform for the whole of Germany, not every region having Kreisklasses.[2]

In the region of Württemberg and Südbaden for example, there are no Kreisklassen. The Football-Kreisligen are instead subdivided into three different levels, A, B and C. In Bavaria and Nordbaden, the Kreisliga is right above the Kreisklasse, which in turn is subdivided in A, B and C.[2]

A similarly named league is the Kreisoberliga, which exists in Hesse, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.[2]
