Kottaipattinam

Kottaipattinam (Tamil:கோட்டைபட்டினம்) is a small town in the Pudukkottai District of Tamil Nadu, India. The town is about 70 km from Pudukkottai, located on the shore of the Bay of Bengal.

Muslims make up the religious majority, and are estimated to be 75% of the population. Non-Muslims mostly belongs to fisherman community. Kottaipattinam is the most Muslim-populated area in the Pudukkottai district.

There is a famous dargah (CEMENTRY) in kottaipattinam on main road side of sea shore. On every year people celebrating dargah named rawuddar appa darga and big fire well also but mostly wasting money.

Most of the people are working in GCC Countries and making groceries and steamer business. In the kottaipattinam no more sanitary water and no good leader. All leader taking money(currept) from common property,
