Kothapet is a major suburb of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. This is predominantly a middle class and upper middle class suburb. After Disluknagar, this is the prime location of this region that has high potential growth rate for new malls and multi plex theaters. The old Ranga Reddy High Court complex is now taken on lease by the reputed GVK group to construct a shopping complex and the front face of Victoria Memorial home VM Home is taken by Reliance group for similar purpose. The closest stadiums are Saroornagar Indoor Stadium and VM Home play ground. Kothapet region is majorly dominated by Telugu speaking communities belonging to Telangana.
Victoria Memorial Home, is a building constructed by the Britishers is also in Kothapet. VM Home in short, is used and shown as villain's den in many Telugu movies and few Hindi movies too.
