Koratla is a town and a municipality in Karimnagar district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.[1]

Koratla is located at .[2] It has an average elevation of 286 metres (938 ft).
As of 2001 India census,[3] Koratla had a population of 54,021. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Koratla has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 51%. In Koratla, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The Priests, and saints (Munulu,Rushulu) belong to the tribe of “Koravattu”, used to live in this place and they used to do their worshipping, Devotional Activities here, so that in the era of jaina's it was called “Koravattu”, As days were passing it had been changing as “Koravatlu”, “Koratlu” and it had changed to the present Name “KORUTLA”.
Koratla has produced many famous doctors and physical therapists who are in great positions in town and abroad. Koratla has more than 100 years old world class construction - mosque called Jama - Masjid. A biggest accomdable IDGA on the ALLAH MIYA GUTTA.
