The Korotaneh or sometimes pronounced Korantana, are a Jat tribe found in the province of Pakistani Punjab and Indian Punjab. They are found mainly in the districts of Gujrat and Sialkot. The Korataneh claim descent from Koratana, there tribal ancestor, who was said to be a Bhatti Rajput by origin. Their customs are similar to neighbouring Jat tribes, and they are Muslim in Pakistan, and Sikh in India. [1]
