Korets (Ukrainian: Корець; Polish: Korzec) is a city in the Rivne Oblast in Ukraine. The city is located on the Korchyk river, 66 kilometers to the east of Rivne. It is administrative center of the Korets Raion. As of 2001, the population of Korets was 8,649.
Known since 1150, Korets belonged to the Ruthenian aristocratic family of Korecki since the division of Volhynia. After the death of the last Korecki, the city passed to the family of Leszczyński, and subsequently to the family of Czartoryski.
Historical heritage of Korets includes the remains of its medieval castle and Resurrection Monastery, as well as the Church of St. Antony (1533, rebuilt 1706 and 1916) and Trinity Church (1620).
