Konistres (Greek: Κονίστρες) is a village and a former municipality in Euboea, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kymi-Aliveri, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 4,077 (2001). Konistres emanates from the ancient word "Konistra". Konistra means palaistra (in Greek), which is a wrestling pitch.
