Kitikifumba is a neighborhood in Kira Municipality, Kyaddondo County, Wakiso District, in Central Uganda.

Kitikifumba is bordered by Namugongo to the northeast, Bweyogerere to the southeast, Naalya to the south, Najjera to the west and Downtown Kira to the northwest. This location lies approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi), by road, northeast of Kampala, the capital of Uganda and the largest city in the country.[1] The coordinates of Kitikifumba are:0° 25' 8.40"N, 32° 38' 6.00"E (Latitude:0.41900; Longitude:32.63500).
Up until the 1990s, Kitikifumba was a village with scattered low income residences and subsistance farms. In 2001, the village was incorporated into Kira Municipality, the second-largest urban center in Uganda, with an estimated population of about 180,000 in 2011.[2] During the 21st Century it has developed into an upper middle=class residential neighborhood with scattered business locations among the residences.
In the early 2000s, Jomayi Property Consultants, a real estate development company, established an upper middle-class development, which they called Jomayi Kira Housing Estate. In 2011, the government openened a brand new Shimoni Primary Teachers College, which had been relocated from Kampala, on land that now accommodates Kampala Intercontinental Hotel. The college, built at an estimated cost of US$4 million (UGX:8 billion), has a capacity of 450 student-teachers.[3]
