Kirto is a village near Lahore, in Sheikhupura District. It is dominated by the Jat clan of Buttar.

The foundation of the village was laid by a person called Kirto (himself a Buttar, son of Jai Singh, grandson of Lakhan Singh, great grandson of Char Singh), a Sikh from Vaan near Daal now in Amritsar District, India. He came to this place for grazing his herd and then decided to settle here for good. His brother, Pandori, also came along (the nearby village of Pandori goes by his name). Later on, Kirto's descendants converted to Islam.
