As of 2009 India census,[2] KHACHROD town is situated at Center of Bombay-Delhi (WR) Railway rout, 14km near Nagda Jn.(Grasim Ind.) and 30km near Ratlam city, had a population of 65,000. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. KHACHROD has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 54%. In Khachrod, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
