Kerry Gauthier (born November 6, 1955) is a Minnesota politician and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives who represents District 7B, which includes Park Point and the western portion of Duluth in St. Louis County, which is in the northeastern part of the state. A Democrat, he is also a social services case manager at Lake Superior Treatment Center.[1]
Gauthier was first elected to the House in 2010, running after Rep. Roger Reinert opted to run for the district's open state senate seat. He currently serves on the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance, the State Government Finance and the Transportation Policy and Finance committees.[2]
Gauthier graduated from Morgan Park High School in Duluth, then went on to the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, receiving his B.A.. He later attended the University of Wisconsin in Superior, earning his M.S. in Counseling. Prior to being elected to the House, he was a member of the Duluth City Council. He is a member of the Planned Parenthood Regional Advisory Committee.[3][4]
